Dr. Paolo Tronville
Dr. Paolo Tronville is an Associate Professor at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Torino. He has been a lecturer in energy engineering courses such as Building physics, Energy savings and comfort in buildings, and Design of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment, among others. His scientific activity is concerned mainly with aerosol science and technology and it can be considered both experimental and numerical, including the development of innovative approaches in the numerical modeling of air cleaning equipment and novel methods to characterize and understand the behavior of gas cleaning devices and media.
Dr. Tronville has been a member of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR), the American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS), the Scientific Committee of ASCCA (Italian Association for Contamination Control), the American Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Italian Thermotechnical Committee (CTI) and the Italian Technical Committee for the Automobile Standardization (CUNA). Moreover, he played an active role in the reactivation of ISO/TC142 “Cleaning equipment for air and other gases”, being its Chairman from 2005 to 2016.
